Over the decades the construction industry has used the Weekly Safety Meetings to improve the safety of our projects.\u00a0 Quality Safety Times has improved on the quality of these topics and introduced a “Quality Control Topic.”<\/h4>\n

Our Quality topics offer a trade-specific tool for foremen to discuss proper component installation with their crew as well as topics on trade specific loss prevention techniques such as public protection, load securement, fleet management working near other trades, working near operating systems, etc. They include reviews of Contentss Learned from others\u2019 mistakes and discussion questions to help foremen address installation concerns specific to the current project.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Much research globally has focused on the cost of re-work in construction. Re-work is defined as “the unnecessary effort of redoing a process or activity that was incorrectly implemented in the first instance.” Studies have indicated a direct relationship between poor quality and higher incident\/injury rates among craft\/trade workers on projects (see link below to related research).<\/p>\n
