Brian has taught Safety Standards and Law classes for Mt. Hood Community College\u2019s Environmental\/Safety Program and has been a guest speaker at various universities throughout Washington and Oregon.<\/p>\n In November 2003, Brian received the Gary Bird Horizon Award from the International Risk Management Institute for \u201cExcellence in Innovative Risk Management Techniques and Processes in the Construction Industry.\u201d Additionally, in 2001, he was honored with the \u201cSafety Professional of the Year\u201d award by the ASSE Columbia Willamette Chapter.<\/p>\n Brian actively participates in the American Society of Safety Engineers and served on the Board of Directors for four years (1999-2003).
