Jason is a veteran of Portland-area journalism, having worked for The Oregonian newspaper, The Associated Press, The Columbian newspaper, and Portland Tribune newspaper/Pamplin Media Group. Jason is an original Portland Tribune employee, having helped start the newspaper in 2001. Topics covered throughout the years have included sports, homes, business, news, recreation, and, for the past 14 years, arts and entertainment and human interest stories as editor/reporter of the Tribune’s Metro Life section. A native of Ketchikan, Alaska, Jason worked in news/sports positions for the hometown newspaper after graduating from Oregon State University. At OSU, Jason earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a Technical Journalism major and Business minor and served an internship in corporate communications with Portland General Electric.
