Brian Clarke is the Founder of QST.

 

Brian has been involved with various loss prevention start-ups including:

  • GEW llc (www.gew-lcc.com) a safety consulting company specializing in Construction, Agriculture and logging – Founder and Managing Member
  • HEILL Safety Solutions (www.heillsafetysoluitons.com) a safety consulting company specializing in R&D and High Tech – Co- Founder and Co-Managing Member
  • Wildfire Alliance a startup company developing new environmental safety fire retardant – technical advisor
  • ACE a Startup company with level 4 Artificial Intelligence and advanced Chip processing – technical advisor
  • Construction Industry Crime Prevention Program (CICP.com) an origination working with contractors, Law enforcement and District Attorneys to prevent and reduce property loss and vandalism in the construction industry – Founder and Board of Director
  • Construction Safety Summitt A non-profit for the advancement of and continuing education of individuals in the Construction Safety – Founder and Steering Committee Member.

Brian Professional Carrier included:

  • Starting his carrier with Continental Insurance (7 years in large lines/multi lines insurance).
  • 17 years as the Corporate Safety Director for Hoffman Construction of Portland OR
  • Private Consulting since 2011.

Brian currently serves as the Past Chair of the Industry Advisory Conical for Central Washington University’s Safety Health Management Program.

Together with his late wife Betsy, Brian established the “Brian and Elizabeth Clarke, ASSE Student Section Endowment at CWU.” The endowment aims to promote and cover educational expenses for the student section of ASSE and their advisor(s).

Brian has presented at various Professional Development Conferences (PDCs) across the USA and Western Canada, and he has published several safety / loss Prevention articles as well as authored Chapters in text books in steel erection safety. Brian has taught Safety Standards and Law classes for Mt. Hood Community College’s Environmental/Safety Program and has been a guest speaker at various universities throughout Washington and Oregon.

In November 2003, Brian received the Gary Bird Horizon Award from the International Risk Management Institute for “Excellence in Innovative Risk Management Techniques and Processes in the Construction Industry.” Additionally, in 2001, he was honored with the “Safety Professional of the Year” award by the ASSE Columbia Willamette Chapter.

Brian actively participates in the American Society of Safety Engineers and served on the Board of Directors for four years (1999-2003). He has also held various positions within the Sacramento and Portland chapters and ROC (Regional Operating Committee).

Brian lives on a small ranch raising Scottish Highlander cattle and has a tree farm raising trees for telephone poles from Dug Fir and Western Red Cyder.
